It is imperative or rather incumbent upon every Muslim, male or female to believe not only in Jesus but all prophets sent by Allah (swt). Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet of God, not as God’s son or part of the trinity sharing divinity with God.
Muslims also believe in the message that Jesus came to deliver, that is to worship only One God. In Luke 3:8 when the devil asks Jesus to worship, promising him the authority and glory of all the kingdoms of the world, the passage says thus:
“And Jesus answered him, ‘it is written, you shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve’.
In the Qur’an Allah says of Jesus (pbuh):
“And in their footsteps We sent Jesus, son of Mary confirming the Torah and that had come before him, and we gave him the Gospel in which was guidance and light and confirmation of the Torah that had come before it.”
Qur’an 5: 46
